Points to inviter granted before user completes validation

Hi,

I am testing the userpoints_invite module and noticed that when "grant points to inviter after invitee registers" setting is used, users are granted points BEFORE the invitee clicks the confirmation link in the email.

1) Inviter sends invite to Invitee
2) Invite email is sent with link
3) Invitee clicks link and jumps to register page
4) Invitee registers and validation email is sent << points are granted here at the moment
5) Invitee clicks validation link in email and is successfully registered << points SHOULD be granted here instead

I hope someone could kindly help with this issue.
