Scenario to reproduce:

Enable similar entries module
Configure block
Enable similar entries for 'nodes'
Disable similar entries for 'forum'

Even after disabling for forums, I see similar items in forums
And I see node type contents in similar entries in forums

I'm having what I think is the same problem in 5.x-1.2...

I enable similar entries in the block form for one or more node types... the similar entries block appears on all node pages regardless of type. One difference from the previous issue though: only nodes of the types that have been enabled show up in the similar entries block.
