I created a website on a localhost using XAMPP on Mac OS, and then uploaded the site to an online server. These problems appeared: the website worked really slow, the clean-urls didn't work and the MySQL server goes away. Most pages are not working as I get this message "mysql server has gone away". I don't really have a clue about what's happening.

what are the possible solutions for this problem?
