I have a simple question:

Will the field group support multigroups as the multigroup module in cck 6.x-3.x-dev ?

There are a lot of multigroup projects and activities, so I am wondering the same.
I would rather not reproduce existing work.
I would hope that either this module implements the support or another module extends this one.

No, fieldgroup will not do this. Multigroup in D6 was an ugly hack to begin with (and still has issues). This module will only be responsible for display of fields, not storage of data.

Ok, thanks for notice.

Basically it would be much better, if nodereference would allow inline field editing. In that case multigroups would not be nessecary. It would be a more flexible solution. I was not so happy with the script based solution by node realtionships, because everything should be possible without scripts.

I am not sure if the coming up relation module will implement inline field editing.
