Has there been a settled upon method of disabling rss feeds completely?
Is there any talk of creating a module to better manage rss feeds?
Thanks!

Re:
yes, I have read that article a good many times and actually commented on it. It is however a little dated and I was just wanting to know if there was any more discussion or perhaps a better method that has not been discussed.
dated info
I have searched for a while now and still can't find out how to disable the feed feature.
Does anyone know how to do it? Can it be done?
Is there valid documentation hidden somewhere?
This has nothing to do with the feed aggregator module and everything to do with the small xml icon displayed on the buttom of certain pages and associated generated feed that is linked from the XML icon.
Specific Questions:
Version 4.6, using default bluemarine theme, what file(s) and location of said file(s) that can be manually edited to remove feed function?
If there is no (easy) way to disable the feature, is there atleast a means of disabling the link from being displayed? If so, how?
No.
I really want to be able to control the RSS feeds that my site creates so as not to confuse people/give out content I don't want to give out and have spent the whole day searching for an answer via google/drupal.org.
My conclusion: although there has been discussion of this for years now, it seems "no" is still the answer.
