wallan commentedThis bug is still present in the 5.x series. Me and a number of other people have reported it in the forums: http://drupal.org/node/113189

wallan commentedI've asked about this on #drupal-support. From the response I got, it would seem that this definitely is a bug.

wallan commentedI'm changing the component from base system to filter.module.
I'm also changing the title from 'Issue With Displaying Input Filter Tip' to 'Unchecking "Display HTML help" checkbox has no effect', since the latter is more informative.

Steve Dondley commentedSeems to be an issue with d6, too.

chougrani commentedYes, in drupal 6 too

Gurpartap Singh commentedYou guys seem to be confused with toggling input format description display. The above said feature "Display HTML help" does work fine under Drupal 5.
With "Display HTML help" checked: http://drupal.org/files/issues/Picture%2022_3.png
With "Display HTML help" unchecked: http://drupal.org/files/issues/Picture%2023_3.png
This is the change that setting has to bring at the page ?q=filter/tips

marcoBauli commentedConfirming it does not work in D6, please have a look at screenshot (checkbox disabled, but help showing up anyway on node form). Reopening it against D6.
