This module automatically manages user access to git repositories through Gitolite.
Git repositories are managed in a per organic group basis. By collecting info from all the repositories and users in each organic group, a gitolite.conf and a set of ssh keys are created and pushed to gitolite-admin repository. This process occurs in a drush task called 'gitolite'.
Gitolite can be installed in the same server or in another machine. This module only needs the git url (such as gitolite@localhost:gitolite-admin.git) to clone the gitolite-admin repository to work with.
If you install Gitolite in Open Atrium, it will add the Git Repositories field automatically to your groups. If you install it in a Drupal site, it will ask you to choose to which content type you want the field added to.
Next steps
- Start working in a layered version on top of Version Control Git. A submodule will implement an implementation for Open Atrium.
- Port it to Drupal 7.
