The CAS Server module turns a Drupal install into the central
authentication system.
***UPDATE 6/15/2011***
While we are using this module internally for our own use, I would recommend taking a look at the cas module. There is is a cas_server module built directly into it that covers the same functionality as this module and it is actively maintained.
-------------------------------
The CAS Server module turns a Drupal install into the central
authentication system. It makes your database the primary location
for other systems to use for authentication in a SSO environment.
This module tries to abide by the CAS protocol:
http://www.jasig.org/cas/protocol
THIS MODULE IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT. THERE ARE POSSIBLY SECURITY HOLES THAT I AM NOT AWARE OF. I NEED SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN TEST THIS. THERE HAS BEEN PRACTICALLY NO TESTING DONE WITH THE PROXY REQUESTS.
