Drupal 6.x/7.x
This functionality is included in FileField for D6.x and onwards, so there are no plans to update this module beyond D5.
Drupal 5.x
This module extends the functionality of the FileField module for CCK by adding a "Maximum file size" field to the admin form for every field of type "file". This allows you granular control over the size of files each individual CCK field can handle. If this functionality is not required for a given field (e.g. one only available to trusted users) you can simply leave it as 0 and it will take the maximum file size from the upload module settings (note this is unlike FileField default behaviour which uses only the PHP upload limit).
