geoProximity

jmary - September 16, 2008 - 18:09

The geoProximity module fills only one and clear purpose : It shows a form in which you can input an address. The address will be geocoded using the google maps API by the web browser of the visitor will be geocoded using the Tiger/Line database and a list of locations enabled nodes will be displayed on another page.

This module depends on location module and will work with US only in the first release. The reason is that we are using the Tiger/Line database.

Comparing to other similar modules, this one focus on simply finding location nodes which are close to a given address and doesn't deal at all with maps as this is already done elsewhere. It laso doesn't depends on any other public service.

This modules depends on the location module.
