MailChimp

This module provides integration with the MailChimp email delivery service. While tools for sending email from your own server, like SimpleNews, are great, they lack the sophistication and ease of use of dedicated email providers like MailChimp. Other players in this field are Constant Contact and Campaign Monitor.

Features

1. Create an unlimited number of mailing lists, linking them to your MailChimp lists based on a users role.
2. Embed subscription forms for any MailChimp list with custom meta data and a block for each list.
3. Users can manage their subscriptions from their account page.
4. Users can subscribe to lists during registration.
5. Map user tokens to MailChimp merge fields.
6. Required, optional, and freeform lists. Required lists are automatically synchronized with the sites users. Optional lists provide a checkbox allowing users to subscribe during registration or when updating their account. Free form lists present a signup form with all MailChimp merge fields displayed.
7. Subscriptions can be maintained via a batch process during cron or in real time.
8. Turn all your Drupal emails into transaction emails via the MailChimp STS API. (7.x-2.x only)

Version information

• 6.x-2.x: Stable, large install base, mature feature set. Big fixes only.
• 7.x-1.x:Stable, direct port of 6.x-2.x. Development will focus on 7.x-2.x. Bug fixes only.
• 7.x-2.x: A complete rewrite sponsored by MailChimp featuring a new module architecture allowing for general API usage, submodules for specific uses cases, performance improvements, revamped user interface, transactional emails via MailChimp's STS API, and all new features.
