An example of chatting from a Drupal site using a RealChat server

This project is not covered by Drupal’s security advisory policy.

Lets the users of a Drupal site chat via a RealChat server. It adds a single link to Drupal's menu system called "Chat now!" by default. An authenticated user who clicks this link enters a chat at a designated RealChat server with her chat nickname set to her Drupal username, chat profile pointing to her user profile page on the Drupal site, and avatar set to her picture (if available) on the Drupal site.

A RealChat server can be downloaded here. Having access to an installed RealChat server is a prerequisite of using this module. The module simply provides the glue as described here.

Installation

See the README file.

Dependencies

None.

Notes

7.x-1.0-beta2 passed tests for compatibility with Drupal 7.4

Known issues

Chatting is supported for authenticated users only. Chatting by anonymous users is something that could be supported in the future if people need that functionality.
