The Web Guidelines quality model (Webrichtlijnen)
Government bodies and companies are facing the challenge of creating websites that are optimally accessible to people as well as browsers and search engines. The Web Guidelines (a.k.a. Webrichtlijnen in Dutch) aid in that process.
There are internationally recognized agreements for creating web sites, known as 125 quality requirements standards warrants a significantly better website. The Netherlands government has assembled these international standards in a quality model called the Web Guidelines. This quality model comprises 125 quality requirements for the benefit of better websites. All Dutch governmental websites should comply to these standards.
Out of these 125 guidelines, 47 can be tested automatically. This module provides content editors with instant feedback on errors in their content. For instance, if they forgot to add an ALT tag to an image or if they used heading tags in a wrong order. When saving their content the module checks the XHTML and displays all found errors or warnings (if any).
Module development is on hold. We're awaiting the new release of the Web Guidelines validation code.
