This task is to update the cck_map module at http://drupal.org/project/cck_map from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6. The cck_map module allows individuals to place and edit single or multiple Google Maps markers by clicking a map interface.
Each new major release of Drupal, we introduce new API features and changes that can cause old modules to stop functioning. Modules need to be upgraded with each new version of Drupal so that they are compatible.
I installed a fresh version of Drupal 6 RC2 then created a few pages (3-4) then installed the image module and created a few galleries (no photos uploaded yet). I went to edit a few of the gallery names and found that when I click "edit gallery" nothing happens? This is a clean install of RC2 with only the image module installed. No other modules and very little content.
Drupal is one of thousands of software projects that are open source. For this task, we ask you to learn about open source yourself and then create a presentation that you could give to your school to explain to your teachers and administrators how using open source software could help the school.
The Auto Translate Module ( http://drupal.org/project/i18n_auto ) aims to assist with translations on Drupal sites by allowing content creators to press a button which scrapes the text area of a node, queries a third party translation service, and pastes the resulting translation which can then be edited and posted as a translation. When this module is complete it will greatly reduce the amount of time needed to translate a site, making it much easier to maintain multi-lingual content-heavy Drupal sites.
