Class Appliance Center - Authorized Appliance Sales, Parts and Service.
The Class Appliance Center website was originally developed on Drupal 5 and Ubercart 1. Class Appliance had an ambitious new project to consume a web service that would provide all of the appliance product data through SOAP instead of having to manually enter it into the site.
We took this opportunity to make the move to Drupal 6 and Ubercart 2. Since most of the products would be automatically created in the new site, we decided to start with a new installation instead of trying to upgrade.
The core functionality of the new site is its custom module that makes a call to a SOAP web service every morning to request data on any new products or existing product changes. Presently there are over 2000 products that have been auto-created in the store.
All product data, including photos, color options, features, promotions, etc are placed into table in the Drupal database. Then the module parses this data into Ubercart products, thereby automatically maintaining the product catalog. Of course the owners can still enter products manually as needed.
Besides the custom product service module, we also developed the Ubercart Taxes Florida Surtax for this site.

OoglieBooglie.com - an Ubercart site for artists
About Needle Consulting
I was contacted by a local client here in Virginia Beach to build OoglieBooglie (http://www.oogliebooglie.com) . This project was my first freelance venture as a Drupal developer. Prior to OoglieBooglie, I was one of the core Drupal developers for The Virginian Pilot (http://www.pilotonline.com) -- one of the largest Drupal powered web sites in the US. I have recently formed Needle Consulting, where we offer Drupal services: everything from custom modules to Drupal optimization to custom themes ( email: principal@needleconsulting.com ).
What is OoglieBooglie?
OoglieBooglie.com is a place where artists and art lovers gather. Artists create designs that they think would look great printed on a T shirt. OoglieBooglie and the members vote for the designs they think are the best. Then, OoglieBooglie prints the design on T shirts and sells them on the site. The artist then gets paid $2 USD per shirt sold on the site for an entire year.
The Theme / Logo
The OoglieBooglie theme was developed by one of my business partners as a sub theme of Zen. The concept for the logo is the classic Halloween sheet ghost costume.
