List of who's available for Drupal work
I get asked a lot if I know anyone looking for Drupal work. I know a few people but trying to keep track of who is and who isn't just to answer random people who ask me doesn't work very well. So I decided to make a wiki page.
http://groups.drupal.org/available-for-hire
If you are currently taking on Drupal work, add yourself to the list. It's your responsibility to maintain your own row in the table so, if you are going to use it, please keep it up to date.
If you are looking to hire someone, make sure you heed the warning that people on the list are not being vouched for by anyone. It is an unmoderated list and very much buyer beware. It's meant as a list of potential people to contact and nothing more. If you want to limit your search to only people with a known track record of service to the community, use http://drupal.org/drupal-services instead.

*** RULES FOR THIS FORUM *** read this so your posts don't get deleted
There have been a lot of complaints of users spamming the paid-services forum. We are actively working to turn this forum into a useful and professional resource for clients to find relevant Drupal services.
The key philosophy here is that exchange between job posters and applicants should be done on a one-to-one basis, not in comment threads.
The Paid Services forum maintainer is stephthegeek, with assistance from francort. We keep an active eye on this forum daily but feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Rules for the Paid Services forum
- If you want to contact someone looking for help, click on the original poster's username and use the contact tab on their personal profile page. If their contact tab is not enabled, please leave a comment on the forum post requesting that they enable it. Send them references of other Drupal projects you have done, examples of your work, and some pricing information.
- If you want to respond to a forum topic, it should only be if you have a question that needs clarifying (that would benefit all) or for the purposes of pointing the poster to an existing solution or other relevant resource.
READ THIS FIRST: Recommendations for hiring a Drupal site developer
There is a good handbook page dedicated to this topic you should read before posting a job in this forum.
HowTo: Hire a Drupal site developer
Skills of a successful back-end web developer
Skills of a successful front-end web developer
Your posting should also include which parts of your project the developers will be allowed to contribute back to the Drupal project. Projects which allow the developer to contribute back to the community are preferred.
If you would like to speak to someone right now, please get an IRC client and join irc.freenode.net server, and join #drupal-consultants. There are consultants in that public channel 24/7.
Looking for Skier who is also a Drupal Dev/Themer
Like skiing and drupal? Gimme a shout!
I'm a one man show running www.Doglotion.com, a popular grassroots freeskiing web mag based out of Whistler/Squamish. The site is bursting with content this season but my talented Drupal ninja is too busy with a full time day job to tackle a few critical fixes/improvements i'm hoping to make to the site.
Looking for someone to help with a specific list of deliverables I can provide, can pay in cash and gear. If it works well for both of us, could be plenty more work this coming summer. Hoping to hit this first batch of tasks this month.
Example of some of the more immediate things are:
-integrating Gigya or other social login/commenting
-small theming/permissions tweaks (so users can add videos, content type already there)
-some OpenX zones tweaking
-other stuff along those lines
Warning it's been migrated from 4.7 - 6 and only a few eyes have seen the back end, so will need someone experience enough to tiptoe around the site. ;)
Look forward to hearing from you, thanks.
Bounty for Taxonomy Views Snippet - Get all parent terms for a specific node
I have a node type view. I would like to add a taxonomy field, where it gets only the parent terms to the specific node.
I have:
Church 1
John Doe
Uncle Sam
Church 2
Jane Doe
Jane Smith
Church 3
Goerge Washington
John Doe
Church 4
Mary SmithCurrently views "shows all" terms specific to that node, i.e. Church 1, John Doe, Church 3, Goeorge Washington. I need it to "show only parents" Church 1 and Church 3, linked to its respective term page.
If you can provide the snippet either, using views 6.2 natively, or a custom PHP code via Views Custom Field module?
I've been struggling for two days, using queries, and applying methods found in the following links?
http://drupal.org/node/1011946
http://drupal.org/node/216888
http://drupal.org/node/43290
http://drupal.org/node/866586
http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/modules!taxonomy!taxonomy.module/function/taxonomy_get_tree/6
If you can please post the code snippets here, in hopes it helps others find same or similar solutions?
This is my first time using this service, so I really don't know what to pay, say 50.00; I hope thats fine. I can send Paypal.
