Mark Jayson Gruta (mjgruta)

With over a decade of experience in the Drupal ecosystem, I am a versatile professional who designs and builds custom web solutions, from small-scale sites to large-scale, enterprise-level platforms. My expertise spans technical architecture, team leadership, and strategic stakeholder communication.

My journey in web development began after a seven-year career as an AutoCAD draftsman. Driven by a passion for building, I taught myself Drupal in 2011 and quickly transitioned into a full-time role at a fast-paced development company. During this time, I focused on building custom e-commerce websites and honed my skills in server management and project time estimation.

During my tenure at the UN Migration Agency (IOM) from 2016 to 2024, I held several key roles that broadened my skill set. As a Senior Web Developer, I managed a team of developers and oversaw a portfolio of over 200 websites. I later became a Full Stack Developer, where I was responsible for the infrastructure and codebase of over 250 websites hosted on our Acquia Cloud servers.

My career progression culminated in my current role as a National Digital Communications Officer. In this position, I operate as a Solutions Architect and Manager, handling all aspects of web operations while placing a primary focus on strategic communication with stakeholders.
