- Drupal contributions
I am one of the co-founders of Bryght, which is one of the first companies to base their entire business on Drupal. I have been involved in the Drupal project for about 5 years, and in that time I have contributed major code enhancements in many areas, but most pertinently, I am the author of the PHPTemplate template engine, and designed the template engine abstraction system, which allows Drupal to load any template that a suitable template engine plugin is found for (ie: smarty, tal, xtemplate etc).
I was also one of the original developers to work on Drupal's install system and install profile/distribution system, and am still heavily involved in it, as part of my duties at Bryght. I have a very deep interest in automating and installling Drupal on a massive scale. I am also very interested in distributed content management, and the semantic web.
I am also the author of the Drupal Forms API, Which allows for incredibly flexible rendering and processing of input and output. This system is quickly evolving into one of the lynchpins of the Drupal development framework. I am deeply involved in improving data handling, validation and abstraction of Drupal's data types, to allow for a more consistent, and clean API.
While I don't frequently work on contributed modules, I was the original author of the Buddylist module, spent a few months maintaining the Weblinks module, and am currently the maintainer of the securesite module. I was also the maintainer of the PostgreSQL port of Drupal for about 2 years, but had to give it up as I simply didn't have the time available anymore.
