i helped start the NYC Drupal Users Group and co-organzied the first DrupalCamp. In 2007, I traveled around the world meeting fellow drupalistas, and in 2009, launched one of the first highest profiled #gov20 sites, NYSenate.gov. now, i'm at the intersection of Drupal, government, big data and community organizing trying to figure out which way is home.

In the land of the Internets, he is known as “noneck.” For the last ten years, he has focused on increasing government transparency while lowering the operational cost of government technology; organized NYC government technology and NYC's bike geeks; explored innovative technologies and the creative space that links us together.
For the last two years, he has served New York State Senate as the Director of Technology Innovation. He has launched NYSenate.gov, our nation's premier state legislative portal; organized the first unconference in a State house, CapitolCamp; co-organized two NYC meetups: Open NY Forum, dedicated to a more open and transparent New York State/City, and the #BikeNYC Tech Meetup, which is dedicated to the intersection of cycling and the nurds who ride them.
Notably, he co-founded the NYC's Drupal user group and hosted the first DrupalCamp. He's journeyed around the world documenting the communities that live on the Internet, and life-casted the process of becoming a New York City Yellow Cab driver. He is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Art, Manufactures & Commerce and member of the British Council's Transatlantic Network 2020 program.
Currently, he is on the board of advisors for Digital Democracy and CivicCommons.
