I have worked since 2008 as part of BlogHer's web development team. I worked at Socialtext on their open source wiki products and at Excite on the Search Ops research team. In the 90s I did tech support, database, sysadmin, wiring, and webmaster work for universities and schools. (The best bit of that was getting to wear a walkie talkie, a leatherman tool, and a Fluke cable tester on my belt, like Batwoman.) I'm a writer, poet, and literary translator, as well as blogging for feminist political sites such as geekfeminist.org and Feminist Science Fiction.
