- Bio
Daniel Gurtner is a web weveloper based in La Mesa, CA.
Coming from a scientific background in the pharmaceutical research industry, Daniel naturally has an analytical mind with an eye for the details.
After moving to the US from Switzerland in 2004, Daniel earned his Bachelors Degree in Web Design & Interactive Media at the Art Institute of California in San Diego.
Also an artist and musician, Daniel would consider himself a “Jack of all trades” with a flair for developing unique solutions to complex problems.
He is well versed with different types of media, ranging from building and developing websites to composing soundtracks, producing video and motion graphics. Daniel is very detail oriented, yet able to see the big picture.
Daniel’s experience with HTML started in the mid 90′s. He added CSS and JavaScript to his experience during the rise of MySpace, around 2003-2004. Once at the Art Institute, Daniel learned to write PHP, MySQL, AS3 and working with content management systems Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, OsCommerce and Magento. By demand from clients, Daniel has also built his own content management system and several ecommerce management systems, including a drag-and-drop shopping cart using AJAX.
Aside from working in a LAMP environment (local MAMP), Daniel excels in using design software such as Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and AfterEffects, as well as ProTools, GarageBand and DVD-Studio Pro.
His goal is to build an interactive company and develop new technologies.
