Kristof Van Tomme is one of the two founders of Pronovix, a Belgian Hungarian Drupal company. He's got a degree in Bio-engineering and made his first Drupal site in the tech transfer office of Szeged, Hungary. Kristof started an introductory Drupal course at the University of Szeged and was initiator and co-lead for Drupalcon Szeged in 2008, the start of a string of events he helped organize throughout Europe (e.g. Drupalcamp Ghent 2009, Drupal CXO Brussels 2010, Drupal Dev Days Brussels 2011, Drupal Gov Days 2011, Drupal process meetup Amsterdam 2012, Drupal product meetup Rome 2012).
As a permanent member of the Drupal Association Kristof has been lead and member of the selection task force for European Drupalcons for the past 3 Drupalcons. Kristof is currently member of the DA's conflict of interest and nomination committee.
Kristof is a regular speaker on Drupalcamps all around Europe. Recently he also started an effort to build the tools to work with DITA in Drupal, which might create a new role for Drupal as an enabler of open source modular documentation for Open Source projects.
