Drupal
- Drupal contributions
I am a biotechnology student working part time for a company and relatively new to Drupal. Although biotech has been my career, IT has been always been my part time hobby. When you combine two, there is quite a bit that one can do. For example we can broadcast our research on the web by building a personal blog or website.
I found about Drupal when a friend told me that White house has turned blue ( website made with Drupal). My purpose is to build a content management system where I can provide a platform for biotechnology professionals to share their knowledge. I currently have a website but I am finding it hard to maintain and keep up with all the development time needed to keep it up to date.
Although there has been some success in getting the word around for by biotechnology website, it will be at east 5-6 months before I am able to fully convert it to Drupal. I will likely need your (forum members) help for the same.
So far my experience on this forum has been fantastic. Helping others on some occasions getting help on other. I just wish that Drupal does not lose it's user focus not become too bulky and complex over time. I have had some success with my biotech website, still due to time constraints my progress is fairly slow.
