Bio

I am a consulting Drupal developer (D6 & D7). My focus is Drupal information architecture and site building, plus requirements definition when needed. I first gained extensive experience with Drupal building a SaaS website for a business venture of mine.

I have 25+ pre-Drupal years' of software engineering and product development experience. This includes significant roles with four Boston startups, three of which were very successful -- Dynamics Associates, The Health Data Institute, and Vestmark (http://vestmark.com).

I was the first technical hire by Vestmark's founder, where I was a principal software architect and engineer. I helped recruit additional staff members and spearheaded the engineering team's adoption of coding standards along with XP and Agile best practices -- plus the aggressive use of open source projects.

My hands-on role there was building the company's n-tier application-development framework. This was done using Java Enterprise and other technologies. The resultant framework is known for its capabilities, for having zero defects, and for its exhaustive automated test suite. Today Vestmark's engineering team simply takes it for granted.

I had to leave Vestmark when my wife was diagnosed with a chronic and severe health condition that required my being at home and helping her through the worst of it. I began working on a business idea which used Drupal once she regained much of her functioning.

Due to my family circumstances, I work from home (i.e., remotely) and can commit 20 to 25 hours per week to project work.
