I installed drupal 6.4 with xampp.
Once installation is finished, I expect http://localhost to lead to my drupal homepage. Instead, it returns to http://localhost/xampp/splash.php which is the homepage for xampp.
I need to type http://localhost/index.php to get to the drupal homepage.
Any click to localhost leads to the xampp homepage.
If I access the drupal site from other machine with http://xxx.xxx.xxx then it works fine.

Any idea on what went wrong?

Maybe the splash.php is defined as the start page? I viewed xampp's website (at http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html) and referred to question #4.
