The message text field in views shows all the template parts concatenated in a single text. The different message parts is a present feature, useful in some scenarios where a same message is displayed in a different way under certain conditions. Having an option to select which message part (delta) to display would be a nice feature.

I used delta 0 so patch from #2894047 was required too
