According to the official README template the maintainers sections should use ID on link:

E.g.:

Use:
* Renato Gonçalves (RenatoG) - https://www.drupal.org/user/3326031
Instead of:
* Renato Gonçalves (RenatoG) - https://www.drupal.org/u/renatog

And it makes sense because any user can edit the username (but it's not possible to edit the UserID)
