Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
We have a lot of the same projects. Please work on merging.

gagarine CreditAttribution: gagarine commentedI tried to contact the maintainer without success. So I will copy the code I like in this module in a new branch of node_repeat.
After that I will ask to delete this module. An update path sound not to hard.

Rob_Feature CreditAttribution: Rob_Feature commentedLet me just chime in that I agree. I've used both extensively and Node Repeat seems to be a good successor. I'd recommend a merge here to join efforts and make Node Repeat super solid.

gagarine CreditAttribution: gagarine commentedI just release a 6.x-2.0-alpha1 version of node repeat. This release take all the good stuff of "Date Repeat Node Generator" ;). I'm working now of testing and adding some other features. After that I will try to provide an basic upgrade path to switch from "Date Repeat Node Generator" to node repeat.
Certainly for 6.x-2.0-alpha2 it will be a small change in the DB schema.

vgriffin CreditAttribution: vgriffin commentedThe current version of Date Repeat Node Generator generates nodes which may be used with Views. It works with pathauto as well. Node Repeat did not work with Views. I am actively maintaining (and using) Date Repeat Node Generator.

gagarine CreditAttribution: gagarine commentedOk but they should still fusions you don't think so? They are also http://drupal.org/project/date_repeat_sequence now... It's stupid than 5 poeples work on 3 different project than do the same things.
Personally I will now have time to work on it because the project than was using it move to a framework. But I'm ok to make an upgrade path to an other module.
Just all maintainer need to agree about the one we keep. I made a branch 6.x.3-dev of Node Repeat if you want to take a look.

MacaroniDuck CreditAttribution: MacaroniDuck commentedAll nodes work with views so anything that generates events as separate nodes will work with views. vgriffin, I'm curious why you decided to tackle this when there are already three modules ahead of the curve on developing this. One of them has already developed sequential editing What makes you opposed to merging efforts?

DamienMcKennaThis would definitely be a worthwhile task, especially if the combined module could be ported to D7. Maybe the best option would be to build a D7 module and use ideas from all three modules?

mstef CreditAttribution: mstef commentedAny solution available for D7 out there?
mstef CreditAttribution: mstef commentedMy take on a D7 version: http://drupal.org/project/node_recur (doesn't use date_repeat) .. if anyone is interested.

RayCascellaIt appears none of the other modules mentioned are widely used or maintained, and half are D6 only. As I am actively updating and maintaining Node Recur, I would like it to become the main module for node repeat functionality. Any patches or function requests are more than welcome.
