Hi to all!,
I'm installed ckeditor following README.txt file.
All files that the creators indicate in the instructions are corrects. In /modules/ckeditor/ckeditor/ directory I have the following files
ckeditor.js, config.js, content.css and directories: "skins", "themes", "lang", "images".
I have installed Marinelli theme (I don't know if that can be a problem).
I modified the permissions too and nothing. I can't see the editor.
I apreciate your help.

goldmund CreditAttribution: goldmund commentedi run into the same problem, using the sky theme for drupal 7. please excuse me for entering your topic with the same issue, martam, i hope it's not an issue.
at first i couldn't enter into the configuration page either. it gave a blank page. i switched back to the basic theme and there i could enter configuration, but it is still not visible. i checked for clashing modules, but it seems none are there.
one thing i can see, is that ckeditor.admin.inc is not in the directory structure. is that supposed to be in the basic package, or does that come after changing a setting maybe?
since i am a rookie i don't know how to do some of the steps found in the http://drupal.ckeditor.com/troubleshooting page, such as looking into source codes.
so far that's it. hope somebody can help us both.

But I have a new problem, because now I want to put in bold letters or similar text editors action and don't do it, only show the code like that... I test in "text format" and all is ok. Also get the text editor and text duplicate.
How can I solve it?

martam CreditAttribution: martam commentedThanks!...
I think that my problem is relationship with the text format. Can you see the text editor duplicate?.... or you see it ok?.
Good luck with your projects too.

anandharaj CreditAttribution: anandharaj commentedHi,
Im having the same issue in D7. I was using this since D6, so im quite familiar with the setting, but not sure why the editor not appear. Already tested in default theme, different browser, but no luck.
Already follow the http://drupal.ckeditor.com/troubleshooting, from there i cannot find " "ckeditor": { "module_path":" in my source code. But i do see other parameter related to ckeditor. Is this could be the reason?

handokozhang CreditAttribution: handokozhang commentedMy CKEditor toolbars didn't show up too.
Everything was okay, but don't know when the toolbars just disappeared. I had tried the suggestions above also followed the trubleshooting, but no help at all. Luckily, they're okay now. I've just disabled the CKEditor module, uninstall and reinstalled. Everybody, perhaps this can also fix your problem.
Have a nice day.

dczepierga CreditAttribution: dczepierga commentedU try to run Drupal on your local server or one of the webhosting providers?
If in the webhosting provider pls check if u have Google PageSpeed Optimizer Installed in phpinfo page... As i see more and more webhosting providers start to use this addon and CKEdiotor library have some problems with that...
Greetings

dczepierga CreditAttribution: dczepierga commentedIssue is not active over 1 month, we don't have more informations and cannot reproduce this so I closed this.
CKEditor in last DEV version support Google PageSpeed apache module, so now it should works without any problems.
Greetings

convoke CreditAttribution: convoke commentedI'm not sure if this is the right space for this, but I'm experiencing the same issue.
I installed the CKEditor plugin, and uploaded the files from the ckeditor website. I have enabled the module, and can go into the module setup and look at/modify the different profiles (default: Advanced, Full)
However, when I go to edit any content, there isn't any evidence of CKEditor being installed. All my test fields are still just plain boxes regardless of what text format they're set to.
I'm using D7 with a Zen childtheme.

mkesicki CreditAttribution: mkesicki commentedHi,
@convoke do you try latest version of CKEditor module (7.x-1.2) ?. Which version of CKEditor library do you use ? Can you check in Firebug (Firefox add-on) if there are any errors. Please write which modules do you have installed ? Can you check if on default theme CKEditor shows ?

ohcray CreditAttribution: ohcray commentedI have no idea why this worked for me, but I disabled the Overlay module in Drupal 7 and the CKEditor bar stopped showing up, as well as the default editing bar when trying to edit or create a node. I uninstalled modules, reinstalled, cleared caches, etc. - about 6 hours of total time - trying to find the solution. Finally I re-enabled the Overlay module, and everything's working great. Hope that helps someone out there...
Now to figure out why it was dependent on the Overlay module at all...

I tried disabling the overlay module, and ckeditor showed up for me too. Thanks so much for the fix. No idea why it worked, but it worked.

Notice: Undefined index: loadPlugins in ckeditor_admin_values_to_settings() (line 1156 of /home/mysite/public_html/sites/all/modules/ckeditor/includes/ckeditor.admin.inc).

markosaurus CreditAttribution: markosaurus commentedCan you shed any light on how you fixed this for D7? I'm almost done building a site and this was one of the last things I enabled :-@
I removed the "filtered html" format, and now I'm in a wold of hurt.
When I edited the global CKEditor settings I saw this "Notice: Undefined index: loadPlugins in ckeditor_admin_values_to_settings() (line 1156 of /home/dixon/public_html/dev/sites/all/modules/ckeditor/includes/ckeditor.admin.inc)."
Drupal has the following roles - Admins/Authorised (These are almost the same for my site as it happens, only admins can create authorised users)
Text formats, I have full/plain
CKEditor - Advanced profile only
I've given everyone permissions for everything for testing purposes (except "override views access permissions")
When I log in as an authenticated user and try to edit something I'm given the plain text option to edit, when I switch to Full HTML nothing happens!
So infuriating!
Thx
