The time tag should be used for printing out the publication date to be semantically correct. This patch slightly reformats the node template accordingly. Note that format_date just prints Y-m-d format, you can specify Y-m-dTH:M:S-timezone according to the html5 specification but I don't know how to do Drupal timezone conversions, so someone can improve on it.

himerus CreditAttribution: himerus commentedI like this fix and will include it in the 3.2 release. I do want to do a little investigation into the drupal date formatting, and if there are any issues out of the box that could be present, otherwise I'd just add it to 3.1
