This is probably just me but, I upgraded my site from D6 to D7. Have been using Advanced Forums and Author Pane in both versions. Just noticed that when a new topic is posted, the posters signature isn't included, but for any reply to the post, signatures are included. I have attached a picture for reference.

My apologies. This was apparently a known Drupal core issue.

"was"? Should it be fixed? I still have this issue. Is there work-around?

I'm seeing it to on a new D7 install.

Signatures are attached to comments fine, but not nodes.

Does anyone know the fix for this? Is it just a setting I'm missing somewhere?

Can't get any signatures for forums period (unless I disable the signatures for forums module)...

Using AF 2.x

Sure wish we could get this fixed.

I can't find the problem. Signatures work just fine here.
Can you reproduce problem on clean drupal/af install?

As I posted above, it happened on a clean D7/Af install.

When you say "Signatures work just fine here" are they appearing on a forum post as opposed to a comment?

yes

Issue summary: View changes

I experienced this as well - signatures appear on comments, but not on the first (main) post in a topic.

It appears that - at least on my site - $signature is empty for the initial post.

Here's how I fixed it:

* copied advanced-forum.naked.post.tpl.php to my theme folder and named it advanced-forum-post.tpl.php
* edited advanced-forum-post.tpl.php and added the following lines just after the comment block (so, at line 20):

if ($top_post) {
  $signature = $account->signature;
}

Once I added that and cleared the cache, I started seeing signatures on the initial post as well as the follow-up comments.

Thanks for all your amazing work on this great module!

I'm using the release version (7.x-2.6) rather than dev, so perhaps that's a factor.

Just thought I'd post this in case it's of help to anyone else.
