Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Their is a lot of other "twitter bootstrap" theme out their. I think it would be nice to see if we can integrate the best of each.
Some coder will perhaps like to join this project.

gagarine CreditAttribution: gagarine commentedMmmh I think is better than a maintainer just look at the good part and merge them in this theme. I'm planning to do that. A good starting point will be to just fetch and merge the lullaboot one.
I was thinking to first release an alpha-1 as it is... so peoples can easily get a "stable" version and after really not be afraid to break the dev.

makangus CreditAttribution: makangus commentedI started the first version of lullabot_bootstrap when I kept finding issues on this theme.
I agree with gagarine, a maintainer needs to put the good stuff together and push the initial commit. Then we can all help in the issue queue. gagarine, if you are up for it. I would be interested in co-maintaining it with you.

dellintosh CreditAttribution: dellintosh commentedCount me on that list of potential co-maintainers as well.
Is version 3.x available for the task of merging the different themes?
Thank you,

dellintosh CreditAttribution: dellintosh commentedSince we are using this in one of our upcoming sites, I went ahead and started the combining process and put it up in a sandbox location: http://drupal.org/sandbox/dellintosh/1896930
If you clone that and rename the folder to 'bootstrap' (from 'bootstrap___combined'), things should work nicely.
So far, I've merged in the Tweme, BH_bootstrap themes, and working on BaseBuildingBlocks next.
Again, thank you to all devs on the various projects for starting these, and I'm looking forward to all of us working together to improve Drupal's support of the Twitter Bootstrap theme.
Thank you,
-dellintosh

wundo CreditAttribution: wundo commentedThe best way to contribute is to provide small patches which merges different features from the other bootstrap theme into this one. ;)
Argus CreditAttribution: Argus commentedShouldn't this better be moved to 7.3 branch?
dellintosh CreditAttribution: dellintosh commentedwundo,
I agree... the combining of these different themes is so varied that it was much simpler to start from a clean slate and pull in the best of all the implementations.
Have you taken a look at the sandbox yet? If not I'd encourage you to check it out to see what I mean - that things are quite different and thereby makes doing small diffs nearly impossible.
If you'd like me to commit what's in there to a different branch on this project, I believe we can all work together to extend it further.
Thank you,
-dellintosh

markhalliwellUpdating the status of this issue per the re-purposing of #1840980-4: [meta] Bootstrap 3.0. The 3.x branch should be reserved for Bootstrap 3.0.
@dellintosh: You should probably re-base/merge your sandbox since there have been a lot of fixes/commits since your sandbox was initially created. After you have done that and resolved any outstanding merging issues, please submit patches for the work you've already done. It will be a lot easier to manage and merge in these other projects if we actually just go ahead and use this issue queue.
I agree with wundo in #19. This issue should remain open so it can be the main issue for tracking of all the different d.o/external drupal bootstrap themes (please update the issue summary). Meta issues should also be created for each merging project to keep track of the various different features (if needed). Patches should be created so they can be merged in properly with active development.

Zarevac CreditAttribution: Zarevac commentedIs it possible to merge these two: http://tonystar.ru/projects/tweme#jump-similar
I must say thats its easier to install the Tweme theme, currently trying to do subtheming and it looks promising as well. Would love to see you two merge on a Drupalish way :-p
Comment #24
markhalliwellI already opened an issue with that project: #1999782: Merge with the offical Bootstrap project on d.o
Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to keen on being a team player and wants to keep that project all to himself. FWIW, half of his "comparisons" he makes between these two projects are completely false and outdated.
This theme provides a relatively easy sub-theming process, depending on various needs. There is extensive documentation on how to sub-theme with either method.
I'm half tempted to just merge in his theme manually here, I just don't have that much time to sift through someone elses code right now.

Zarevac CreditAttribution: Zarevac commentedThnx for replying. Will look into it as I am really like Bootstrap and the simplicity and speed.
busla CreditAttribution: busla commentedNot that it´s the topic of discussion but I have to agree with #24. Tweme and Bootstrap is comparing apples and oranges.
This theme is intended for LESS overriding and BS customization (subtheming), which Tweme is not. But I guess I´m preaching to the choir :-)
markhalliwellFWIW, this is rather a non-issue anymore. Yes, people will still continue to maintain their own projects despite the fact that this one has taken them all by storm 10 fold. Popularity will simply do the work for us here.
Scripted response: This issue has been closed while cleaning up the issue queue. The 7.x-2.x branch currently only receives security fixes.
