Views UI does not seem to be visible if enabled in a rc2 install. I've tried refreshing the cache several times. On a blank D7 install it is visible.

nedjoWe do not enable Views UI (or Field UI) because a distribution (as opposed to the 'standard' Drupal install profile) is designed to be used out of the box primarily by non site developers, while it seems a safe assumption that site developers are familiar with turning on and off UI modules.

pmackay CreditAttribution: pmackay commentedAgreed, but it should be possible to turn on those UI modules and for them to work, even if not initially enabled?

nedjoJust tested successfully:
Please clarify if this differs from your steps and results.

pmackay CreditAttribution: pmackay commentedOK, seems I'm confusing things with other modules. I wanted to do more testing on OG, which was also installed. Even after I disabled all the OG modules I could not see Views UI, but it works for me too with a fresh install. Must be an OG problem.

drmanic CreditAttribution: drmanic commentedI've run into the same issue with (openoutreach-7.x-1.0-rc10)
1. fresh install
2. go to admin/modules
3. Enabled Views UI module
4. Views does not appear in Structure.
How can we troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks in advance

I can confirm that nedjo's instructions work with rc-10. If you go to admin/structure, "views" should be visible after enabling the Views UI module. Please give more details if you still can't get it to work.

nedjoWe now enable Views UI on install.
