I have created a new module for this, I will post in to drupal.org after good testing. I'll let you know after publishing.

Try to use image_captcha_refresh.

Also try Draggable CAPTCHA

You can post your script as a patch, people would test and advise.

Even reCaptcha is a great modulewhich works with Captcha.
