Currently, Browscap provides some limited useragent recording functionality which is very simplistic and lacking in many regards.
This recording functionality should be removed in favour of an integration module to provide communication between Browscap and fully-featured statistics modules such as Better Statistics (see #1787488: Integration with Better Statistics [Discussion] for some background information).
