Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Many organizations use Google Docs - It would be great to define and implement some integration. Some suggestions for integration:
- Show GDocs associated with a topic on topic landing pages
- Show GDocs in site search results (eg http://drupal.org/project/goodocs)
- Show GDocs in the group browsing widget

The advantage of Droogle is OG integration: in principle each organic group can have its own google drive account attached. In our scenario this is very interesting (we are a humanities research institute using commons to build an online community portal where people can form groups around certain historical topics and ideally can upload documents related to that interest).
Having said this the 7.x version has plenty of bugs and the project seems to move forward slowly (not being a programmer I can't help out patching things unfortunately).
There is also this module which has a different approach: http://drupal.org/project/google_drive_sync. More details on how it works and is set up are here: http://pronovix.com/blog/kdani/drupal-front-end-google-drive-ii.
