This should be a lot better than a built in slideshow which are always problematic.

kazar CreditAttribution: kazar commentedHad a look at the demo at http://bamboo.themehuis.com/bamboo-featured-content-slideshow
This may have been a deliberate choice on the site or may be a bug, I can't say, but for the visitor it is rather confusing that clicking on Read More... on one of the slideshow images does not take one to the article in question, but rather to some completely different page.
Examples:
Click on the Read More button on the image of a palm tree in front of a hotel. The text under the image says "After a still winter night I awoke with the impression that some question had been put to me, which I had..." but the Read More button takes us to http://bamboo.themehuis.com/typography. A site search on the string of text turns up this article: http://bamboo.themehuis.com/featured-content/walden
Click on the Read More button on the image of bright red/orange exotic flowers, under which the teaser says, "IN the summer of 1879 I was stationed at Fort Wrangell in southeastern Alaska, whence I had come the year...". One would expect to land on http://bamboo.themehuis.com/featured-content/alaska-days-john-muir (again, I found it via site search) but instead we are taken to http://bamboo.themehuis.com/basic-page/download
