I'm having an issue where the entire slideshow disappears randomly. If I clear the system cache it will reappear. If I go into the view when the slideshow is currently absent I get a message that the selected format is missing.

I am also having this problem. In my case, I'm working with Panels. I have enabled block caching at the site and the view level, but it only appears to work temporarily. There is no pattern to when the slideshow disappears ... it is random. The only true fix is clearing cache. If anyone has more information on this it would be much appreciated.

There has been issues with the block cache due to a core bug. Disable block cache if it acts up.
