I don't know if it is a bug or a conflicht with other modules, but with the update to CKEditor 7.x.1.12. I got following behaviours in the user interface:
1. When open a node to edit the CKEditror defined textarea is collapsed. It has to be opened manually on the bottom right corner. I cannot find any configuration to change this behaviour back as it was: open (collapsible) by default.
2.) When setting a html layout the tags <> are set as brackets [] and are not retransformed to html-tags. E.g. bold text instead of Bold text

I still have a huge problem after updating to CKEditor 7.x.1.12

I have delete CKEditor, again install it ... NOTHING works ... Then delete CKEditor and install the old version ... still nothing, updated again ... still totally nothing, it is if CKEditor is not installed at all. Though it is present at the modules and all boxes are checked so that all looks fine. Downloadpath was and still is sites/all/modules/ckeditor/ckeditor ...
I have been working for two days on this problem now but I don't think I am capable to solve this ... Help!

I included a picture so you can see how things look. Only if I 'speak' HTML I can change things, otherwise ??

@Moonlight,
please check few things:
- did you uninstalled ckeditor module or only disabled it ?
- check admin status report page if you have any errors reported there
- which version of CKEditor library do you try to use ?
- please check in Firebug (Firefox add-on) console if you have any errors reported

Hi there,

I have installed the CKEditor - WYSIWYG HTML editor 7.x-1.12 with CKEditor 4 standard.

CKEditor works fine on my site with one ridiculous problem. The problem with the buttons. Only couple of buttons comes up. I have edited the text formats and profile. But It does not work. Again, I have created my custom text format and profile, but it is not working as well.

Is there anybody who can help me out of this problem? I'm stuck for the last 3 days.

Thank you in advance.

@rumen,
try check if your problem exists with full package of CKEditor. Maybe you try to use buttons that are related with some plugin that are not in standard package ?
Please write what buttons are not visible although you added it to input format.
Do you see any JavaScript errors in Firebug (Firefox add-on) console in profile configuration or node add/edit pages ?

Hi michal_cksource

Nice to have your reply. Thanks a lot for the help, it is working now with full package. But I have one problem which is the font colour button could not change the font colour. FYI, I have no font colour in my theme's style css file.

You are the star. Thank you again.

@rumen,
please check what input format do you use when you try change font color. It is possible that input format strips tags or styles attributes from your content. To be sure try use Full HTML input format and check if you can do what you wish.

Many Thanks for your hints. I was using WYSIWYG Filter module with my custom input format. Again, THANKS FOR YOUR QUICK REPLY.

God bless you.
