After a fresh install, I was running drush up to get rid of the rules related notices:
Warning: Illegal string offset 'field' in RulesEntityController->buildQuery() (line 202 of /home/arborrow/NetBeansProjects/demo/profiles/openchurch/modules/contrib/rules/includes/rules.core.inc).
Warning: Illegal string offset 'field' in RulesEntityController->buildQuery() (line 207 of /home/arborrow/NetBeansProjects/demo/profiles/openchurch/modules/contrib/rules/includes/rules.core.inc).
Unknown path for openchurch_theme_starter module. [warning]
Unknown path for openchurch_mm module.
Is this something that could be easily fixed? I'm not yet familiar with the intricacies of profiles but I suspect its not too difficult to let drush know where those themes are. Peace - Anthony

dude4linux CreditAttribution: dude4linux commentedI'm not able to upgrade from openchurch 7.x-1.11-beta1 to beta5 using drush. I think the problem is related to this issue of not finding the proper path when modules are stored in the profile path. The results of the drush pm-update in verbose mode are shown below.

Instead if you want a newer version of a module you can do drush dl [modulename]. This will add it to your sites/all/modules folder and you can run drush up on any of those without modifying the actual OC profile.
Also the original error in this thread looks like a php 5.4 error. Drupal 7 still works best with 5.3, many contrib modules have problems with 5.4 so I don't think I can make OC officially support 5.4 until it becomes the recommended PHP version for Drupal.
