Is it possible to provide an option for setting a weight to selected multiple entity references in cck? Or is there a workaround? Sorry, I don't get it.

To clear this up: I am searching for an option to select several nodes and then give them a sorting order (weight) via the cck interface. Any ideas?

Use the field widget "Autocomplete" (or "Autocomplete (Tags style)"). That'll give you the ability to specify several nodes and reorder them within the field. The Select and Checkboxes widgets won't give you that ability.

thanx mate, that's really cool... didnt ever try that cause I feel a little incommodious for the editor for he has to know the title of the referenced nodes to choose them > I think there's no solution for that?

But helped me that much!!
