Field collection is not honoring the upload size limit set for image fields.
If I set the upload size limit to be 1MB for an image field, if that image field is embedded within a field collection, users can upload an image of 3MBs, for example.

I have the same problem with my collection field that contains an image field with upload size limit to 600KB. A user can upload an image above the size limit...

Sorry my mistake, like administrator you have no file upload limit.

I tried as a simple user and the limitations exists as supposed to be..

It is clarified in the documentation link : function file_validate_size

This check is not enforced for the user #1.
