Flex slider module integrates the Flex Slider library with Drupal and several contributed modules, so that the size of the sliders (also called "picture rotators") automatically and smoothly adapts to the size of the browser window. Nevertheless this adaptation is done client-side, so does nothing good for the used bandwidth (For a server-side adaptation, you can use the module Adaptive image styles).
