This website for instance uses an expandable share button, which saves on space: See red box "+ Delen".

I'm speaking for myself when I say that I would gratefully use that feature, but I reckon I'm not the only one.

Didn't had much time to do it but i ended up with a small naughty code: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJHiD1UDuew, it requires a lot of time to be improved and adapted to the SL interface!
