Is there document, plugin or module for replacing the kickstart distribution toolbar admin menu.
The menu is OK and workable, but I am very accustomed to using the admin menu on my sites.

I have to add this, because it is extremely relevant. Discussions with site owners about changing the toolbar menu are mixed. Site owners like the toolbar, because they don't have people with webmaster or administrator skills updating their stores. They have clerks adding products and making changes.
The toolbar is evidently a bonus for them, which they aren't complaining about. As admin it was my cause and not theirs of interest.
The kickstart crew has evidently been talking to real people using the application.

bojanz CreditAttribution: bojanz commentedThe default toolbar won't be easily replaceable until we fix #1877594: Toolbar (administration menu) broken after disabling 'commerce kickstart menus'.
The best way would be to allow different toolbars for different roles (so that the site builder can have the kickstart one, but the admin can have something else.). We discussed this previously, but never found the time to do it. Let's document it here as a feature request.

As site builder I prefer admin menu module.
I use admin menu on all other drupal sites and I don't have to rethink and hunt for things when I build sites.

vasikeThis is already there using 'access toolbar' and 'access administration menu' permission,
EXCEPT user #1.
here is a patch that adds an option on user #1 profile form to disable the Commerce Kickstart Toolbar.

As univate #2 pointed out admin_select module might be a good option for all administrators. Also, totally agree with domineaux #2. I haven’t noticed any issues with the kickstart menu. Moreover most site owner love using kickstart menubar.
