I'd like to get my site looking more or less like this: http://www.polarisgo.com/
Including the YouTube video gallery type thing they have going.
Here is my current site: http://www.profesorrich.com
Any general advice from this point?

Where to start
Hey ProfRich, before making it look like the example site I would make a content type for your videos and some taxonomy terms to categorize them. Once you have these and the content in, you can build a view with exposed filters for your gallery. Next, as the user selects a video, you'll load the page containing the video node. On this page you can add the playlist at the right and other blocks under your main video content and details. This is not complete but a few steps to get you started.
