Hello all,
I am having a problem logging in to drupal. I have tried to use the reset password but I never receive the email. I can't login to see what version of drupal they have installed. By the way it is acting I think it is probably 7.x. I have tried everything to get in but no luck. They deleted the previous admin user. So I don't have an account to get in with. I have access to the ftp and to the database via myphpadmin. But everything I have read says you can't update the password directly in the database. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

check the user table of the DB if there is a UID 1 then the admin user wasn't deleted.
check the email address of the user that is UID 1 that is where the email is going
check the root for a CHANGELOG.txt file. This will tell you what version of Drupal is in use.
VM, Thank you for the quick
VM,
Thank you for the quick response. The site is 7.22, and the user id in the users table is "1" and the mail address is correct. However I am not receiving those password requests.
