add show/hide on <front> page functionality [#1620632]

add publish/unpublish on page functional.
For Example You have everyyear node (like birhtday, or holyday message) that will be shown teaser on main/frontpage by the date, and removing from main/front page by the date, but stay publishing as a node all of the time.

Hi,
I see what you want. New features would have to go into the D7 version first, though. I think this has been talked about before - did you search the existing issues?
