Hi,
I am the maintainer of a breadcrumbs module, "Crumbs", https://drupal.org/project/crumbs
The module has been added into commerce_kickstart, and since then has (as to be expected) plenty of users.

There are some issues, but overall it seems the feedback is positive.

However, if you search "drupal breadcrumbs" on Google, you don't find it anywhere.
https://www.google.com/search?q=drupal+breadcrumbs

I think the problem is that the path alias does not contain "breadcrumb" or "breadcrumbs". So, it shares the same fate as "Hansel breadcrumbs", which also has a poor ranking for "drupal breadcrumbs". Which is sad.

I wonder if anything can be done about this.
One idea I had was to create a placeholder project at drupal.org/project/crumbs_breadcrumbs. But, I don't know whether this would actually help, and I'm afraid it could be considered as spamming. So, I want to check with the project review team before doing anything like this.

"crumbs_breadcrumbs"
I don't think anyone else would choose this module name.

And btw, "Path breadcrumbs" has a pretty good coverage in blogs etc, so I have no problem with it being top ranked.

Looks like this needs review? See https://drupal.org/node/532400

Well, I was not sure if this needs approval or not, so when there was no reply I just went ahead and created the project..
It will probably not work, because there are hardly any incoming links, especially none from the issue queue. But it also won't hurt.

Actually I think this a webmaster issue and not a project application.

I would strongly advise against creating a new project or changing the shortname, because then it is different to the module machine name which is very confusing for drush for example. And for humans too.

Well, it has already happened. A while ago.

The plan is/was not to replace anything, but to work as a landing page with a link.
It may be totally useless, because it lacks link juice, and won't get much of that any time soon.
The only thing that is right is the url alias.

Dear webmasters,
I think this placeholder project I created was a bad idea, or even if it wasn't, it has served its purpose and is now more confusing than helpful.
Would it be possible to delete the project? Ideally with a redirect..

Sorry for the confusion I caused!
