About Fat Beehive

We build wonderful open-source websites, beautiful brands and delightful digital products for organisations committed to social good.

We’re a friendly, down-to-earth bunch with a deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector. Since 1997, charity web design has been our speciality, and we’ve worked with everyone from charities tackling the very root causes of poverty to organisations changing the narrative around global LGBT law. When we’re not building great websites, you can find us volunteering, mentoring young digital stars and supporting the development of the tech communities in London and Manchester.

Our diverse range of charity and not-for-profit clients includes Tommy's, The School for Social Entrepreneurs, Health Poverty Action, FORWARD, Unesco, Coram and Union Chapel.

Our projects range from simple sites, to complex integrations with CRMs, encompassing membership areas interacting with events bookings and publications libraries.

Company Culture

We are a small team who work in relaxed, informal offices in London (Southwark) and Manchester (Ancoats). There is often cake. There is often music playing. We don’t have a ping pong table or table football. We tolerate beards, but only because Danny has one.

We hire and work with people who are focused on the charity and not-for-profit sector, who love and follow the web’s developments but who stop at the weekend to do something totally different.
